What we collect and why

When you contact us. Your name, company, email address, phone number if you give it, the show or event you are planning and anything you write in your message. We use this to answer your enquiry, prepare a design and a price, and deliver the job if you go ahead. Our lawful basis is that this is necessary to take the steps you have asked for before entering a contract, and then to perform that contract.

When you tell us how you heard about us. This is optional. We use it only to understand which channels bring us work. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running the business sensibly.

When you visit this site. Our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, in server logs, to keep the site secure and working. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website. See the cookie notice for anything set in your browser.

We do not buy marketing lists, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you enquired. If we ever want to send you marketing, we will ask first.

Who we share it with

The companies that provide our website hosting, email and business software process your information on our behalf and under our instructions. If you become a client, the venues, printers and crew involved in your build receive only what they need to deliver it, such as your stand name and graphics. We do not sell personal information to anyone.

Some of our providers store data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the UK's adequacy regulations or by the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

If you enquire and do not go ahead, we keep your details for 12 months and then delete them. If you become a client, we keep your records for six years after the last job, because HMRC requires us to keep business records for that long. Server logs are kept for 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to our using it, or ask us to restrict how we use it. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time. Write to us at the address above and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

Changes

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you.
